The Girl in the Fireplace: Shirt of lore

Finally, I have stumbled on to a bit of luck.

I like many others wanted a shirt that matched the screen caps.
On the dw_cosplay forum someone has already been asking about the shirt worn in The Girl in the Fireplace.
We've been told that it was probably the navy blue shirt, either: 'HIJKLMUVWXYZ', or a 'Reiss' dark blue cotton shirt.

Today I got lucky. I was going to pop into Banana Republic to grab some shirts for work. By chance I thought I would look at their clearance section. There was a single blue-green shirt, size Large. I inspected it and bought it 35% off the ticket price.

As far as I am concerned, it is perfect.

Here is the shirt in question. Of course the lighting for Tennant's run as the Doctor has played many a trick on our eyes when it comes to color matching.

Here, right to left are three shirts that best show the difference in color:
On the far left is a slate grey shirt, like the H&M shirt that is worn in Tooth and Claw. The second from the left is my navy blue Banana Republic shirt, the third from the left is the "Slate Blue" Banana Republic bought from eBay and hand stitched by me. The last in the set is the blue/green shirt I will now be using as the Girl in the Fireplace shirt.

Here they are again, with the flash on. Indeed the new shirt is very different from the navy blue shirt, even though it is supposed to be a similar shirt. For the sake of screen accuracy I think it's a pretty good match.

The tag on the shirt itself indicates that is is from the FALL '11 line.
The shirt itself a "slim fit" 16-16.5 Large,

Where's the Pants

Right, so as of two days ago while I was in the disappointing Le Chateau outlet, I did happen to come across a bit of good, or interesting news.


faux-Tennant pants have turned up.

Now I do have to say, they are not the GAP pants, nor are the made of cotton. They are, as far as I can recall made of polyester. I am not sure what sizes are left, but if you are in the area, take a look.
I DID take a look for the matching jackets, but none could be found. They are an old stock from seasons long past, so this might be it.

Also, someone was asking about how the Tennant tie progress was going.
What I can tell you is that you won't see them anytime soon.
Risu is working when he has time on the Ricci pattern (burgundy and mauve tie) and when thats complete Magnoli will start on the Armani (circle square tie)
Also I've heard that Magnoli will, once both of these are completed, be working on a 11th Doctor
 bow tie, most likely the blue bow tie with the Aztec "I" design.
It appears to be true that Magnoli is also having new Tennant fabric made. The new blue with red pinstripes maybe what we have all be hoping for all these years.
